Following the success of the recent Dead Space 3 and FIFA tournament lock-ins, leading videogames retailer GAME is partnering up once again with EA for its most thrilling lock-in campaign yet. To celebrate the launch of three new expansion packs for the hit racing game Need For Speed: Most Wanted, GAME and EA are launching a nationwide search to find the UK’s fastest driver.
19 stores across the UK will each be hosting their very own knockout tournament, with pizza and soft drinks provided throughout the night. Gamers are invited to come down and take on their friends head-to-head on PS3 or Xbox 360. The fastest, most furious driver at each store will win a copy of Need for Speed: Most Wanted to take home, along with all three brand new expansion packs – Terminal Velocity, Movie Legends and NFS Heroes.
Finally, each local winner will take part in a Time Trial challenge at the end of the night. Once every store has hosted its tournament, the fastest of all the store winners will be crowned ‘UK's Most Wanted' and walk away with the coveted Most Wanted Trophy!
Customers can register for the events by popping into their nearest participating store, or by sending them a tweet to join in the fun. Spaces are limited and will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis so customers need to be speedy to secure their place. Need For Speed: Most Wanted is rated PEGI 7, for ages 7 and above. Look out for the #GAMEplaysEA hashtag for more information from participating stores.
Dave Howard, Stores Director at GAME said: “We know that there are some seriously talented Need For Speed fanatics out there, so what better way to celebrate the release of three exciting new expansion packs than with a good old-fashioned knockout tournament? There are some great prizes up for grabs and each lock-in will be a fun-filled night of bonding and banter. So if you think you have what it takes to be the UK’s Most Wanted, this is your chance!”
