Master Chief is coming to Rainbow Six: Siege

In the many years following the launch of Rainbow Six: Siege we have seen Ubisoft slowly but surely bring an increasing number of odd and interesting crossover skins into the tactical FPS. Following the likes of Pickle Rick, 2B from NieR: Automata and wrestling stars The Undertaker and Becky Lynch, Master Chief is now set to drop into Rainbow Six: Siege.

Though not yet announced by Ubisoft themselves, the Xbox-focused Twitter account Klobrille shared footage of Master Chief’s character model within Rainbow Six: Siege, saying “Master Chief is coming to Rainbow Six Siege.”

The skin will be for the character Sledge (as can be seen by the equipped sledgehammer). Alongside the skin, a Cortana weapon charm is included in the bundle, giving the crossover that little bit more personality.

Though it started off as quite a serious game when it first released back in 2015, over the years (and undoubtedly in part due to the success of Fortnite), Siege has been inundated with an increasingly odd roster of crossover characters.

This certainly is in no way the oddest addition to Siege, with the aforementioned Pickle Rick and The Undertaker (alongside Lara Croft from Tomb Raider; Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil and Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza series) having been added to the game in the past many years. It will be interesting to see whether a PlayStation character makes their way into the game next.
