Asus launches Radeon HD 7990 card with 8 games

With a worldwide shipment expected at the end of May, Asus has ear-marked today for the launch of its very own Radeon HD 7990 graphics accelerator. In KitGuru Labs' tests, this card stamped its authority at the top of the mountain, so it will be interesting to see what Asus can bring to the table with its own unique take on this product. KitGuru hands out the safety gear and prepares for serious speed.

To get the low down on the Asus Radeon HD 7990, we went straight to the source – everyone's favourite marketing guru and tank girl specialist – Ellina Web. She put the new product in a nutshell for us.

“Our Radeon HD 7990 graphics card is a dual-GPU offering derived from 28nm AMD Radeon graphics processors”, said Ellina. “With 6GB GDDR5 memory, it can easily handle the most demanding DirectX 11.1 PC games – even when you crank them up to ‘ultra' settings”.

Well that's also true for the reference design.

“True, but our exclusive GPU Tweak utility allows user-friendly graphics card tuning and overclocking”, she explained, “Which means that it is ready for ultra HD 4K video and gaming in a 2-slot product”.

“The cherry on the cake is the awesome game bundle”, Ellina told KitGuru, “Which includes eight of the best games every created”.

Here's the inside schizzle on the games being includes:-
•  Tomb Raider (Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix)
•  Hitman: Absolution (IO Interactive/Square Enix)
•  Sleeping Dogs (Square Enix)
•  Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Eidos/Square Enix)
•  Crysis 3 (Crytek/EA)
•  Far Cry 3 (Ubisoft)
•  Far Cry: Blood Dragon (Ubisoft)
•  BioShock Infinite (Irrational Games/2K)

KitGuru says: For a company that can deliver $14 billion in annual revenues, you would expect nothing less than a tour de force when it comes to high-end graphics products. By Computex, the market should be turning into a right bloodbath with all of these cards hitting the market.
