Reader Review: BeQuiet! Dark Rock 2

Kitguru gives away a lot of hardware every month through various leading partners. We always ask competition winners to share a picture of their prizes with us, and sometimes they do. Reader Aaron Birt took it a stage further however by submitting a review of the BEQUIET! Dark Rock 2 when he won it in one of our competitions. We have decided to publish his review, verbatim.

While Aaron doesn't work for Kitguru we feel it gives an interesting, fresh look at one of the leading coolers available on the market today.

Today we are going to take a look at the be quiet! Dark Rock 2, a single tower CPU Cooler created as the successor to the original Dark Rock Advanced  cooler from back in 2011.  This cooler is designed to offer excellent acoustic performance while maintaining low temperatures.

be quiet! are relatively new to the cooling market having produced their first CPU Coolers, the Dark Rock Advanced and the Dark Rock Pro, in 2010. The Dark Rock Series was met with mostly favourable reviews, praised for its impressive aesthetics and quiet operation though criticised for somewhat lacklustre thermal performance when compared to other coolers in its price range.
