Always on ranter Adam Orth no longer with Microsoft

Adam Orth, the Microsoft creative director that a few days ago posted tweets that seemed to sarcastically suggest anyone complaining about always-on DRM was an idiot and should just “#getonwithit#, no longer works for Microsoft, having resigned his position.

It isn't known at this moment if he resigned by choice or if he was ousted due to his inflammatory comments. Microsoft is of course refusing to comment on “private personnel matters,” though it did come out a few days ago to release a statement distancing itself from Orth's original comments. It read:

“This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views do not reflect the customer centric approach we take to our products or how we would communicate directly with our loyal consumers.”

On top of that, Orth's twitter became private, so it's not even possible to get an update from the man himself.

KitGuru says: Funnily enough, both Kotaku and Game Informer are claiming to have written the piece that so incensed Orth to begin his twitter tirade. Which do you guys think has the biggest s*%t stirring spoon?

  1. This is just the most beautiful form of justice. While I’m pretty sure neither source are to blame, and more the general “what an inconsiderate idiot” response from the gaming community is more to do with his resignation, it’s lovely to know that as a collective, consumers can still bully ideas well out of manufacturers heads, potentially making our lives a whole lot easier.
