Samsung hint at new 8.9 inch tablet

Samsung have released a new image which hints at the new size for the Galaxy Tab. The image says ‘Whats your Tab life?' with 78910 after it. A few people are assuming that this relates to the sizes, 7 inch, 8.9 inch and 10 inch. This would confirm previous reports that a new middle sized tablet is due for release.

The image highlights the headphone socket, indicating how thin the tablet really is, as the bulge to accommodate the port is clearly seen. This looks to be the most serious threat to Apple, alongside the Motorola Xoom, and with Samsung's typical high quality designs, we think this is one to watch. Let's hope it runs well on Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

KitGuru says: 2011 is certainly the ‘year of the tablet'.
