Google Docs for Android gets face lift, gives RTF support

Google has just updated its Docs application for Android devices which features a cleaner, fresher appearing interface that promises a more fluent, smoother experience in working with your documents.

The developers have also added in several productivity tools that make Google Docs for Android more of a complete office solution.

A much welcomed “pinch to zoom” gesture has also been added that allows the user to focus on a specific paragraph or entire page. Another new and useful attribute thanks to the implementation of RTF (Rich Text Formatting) support, is the ability to bold something important in order to make it stand out more in a clump of text as well as easily adding a color of choice or quick bullet list.

v1.0.54 of Google Docs is now available as a free download on the Android Market and is compatible with all Android devices running 2.1 upwards.

KitGuru says: It still aint no Microsoft Office, but there's no denying it has come a long way since its inception. Highly recommended!

KitGuru Games: The Best Console is the One in Your Pocket

Emulation is the saving grace of the video games industry. Despite its controversial nature, the technology will be the only way in which all games are preserved for the future – free from licensing agreements and other such nonsense. Better still is the fact that in a majority of cases, emulation allows for a more accurate recreation of the game’s original experience than official offerings, due to countless complex shaders, filters and tweakable settings. And the best part? Thanks to the progression of technology, your humble smartphone is able to do all this and more – giving you the power of 10,000 games in the palm of your hand.
