Patriot Fuel+ Mobile Rechargeable Battery Review

To test the Patriot FUEL+ we used a Samsung Galaxy Note II and Apple iPad Mini. We depleted the batteries completely.

Using only the 2.5 A port, we managed to charge our Samsung Galaxy Note 2's 3100 mAh battery completely twice, Our third charge brought the battery up to 87%. Each full charge took approximately 2.5 hours.

Using only the 2.5 A port again, we charged our Apple iPad Mini completely once and reached 92% on our second charge. Each full charge took approximately 4 hours.

Utilizing both ports, we connected the Apple iPad Mini to the 2.5 A port and our Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to the 1 A port. Logically, our phablet took considerably longer to charge, though we did manage to completely charge both devices.

Overall, we are very impressed with the Patriot FUEL+. The unit is well-built and feels like it can a fair amount of abuse.

The impressive charging capacity and the availability of two ports makes it a great companion for those who are regularly on the move and in business environments where strict policies may prevent employees hooking up their tablets and phones.

We do feel that the FUEL+ offers the best value when paired with mobile devices that do not allow the battery to be replaced. Users who can replace their batteries and need to recharge their devices may find that  a larger capacity internal battery offers more benefits.

Retailing at £58.50 inc vat., the Patriot FUEL+ 9000 mAh Mobile Rechargeable Battery is a great little companion.

Pros:

  • Charges two devices simultaneously.
  • Well-built.
  • Inexpensive.

Cons:

  • Short USB cable.

KitGuru says: A great battery that should be on every demanding mobile user's shortlist.
