New leak reveals Samsung Galaxy S7 specifications

With Samsung currently expected to launch the Galaxy S7 at the end of next month, now seems like just the right time for a full specification leak for the upcoming flagship. This week, new reports popped up claiming to reveal the specifications for the Galaxy S7, which will include a new Exynos processor, a new camera and a 5.1-inch 1440p display.

Curiously enough, the leak claims that Samsung will be bumping down the megapixel count in the Galaxy S7's camera. While the S6 had a 16MP camera, the S7 will apparently have a 12MP one though Samsung has likely made various other improvements to ensure that the smartphone takes good pictures.

This leak comes from the Chinese site, Weibo and the mobile benchmark, AnTuTu. The leak claims that the Galaxy S7 will come equipped with a 5.1-inch 2560×1440 display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an Exynos 8990 processor and finally, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

There were rumors that Samsung would go back to using Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors this generation but while the Korean company is manufacturing the Snapdragon 820, it will be sticking to its own Exynos SoCs for now.
