To test today, we are putting the machine through a variety of ‘real world’ situations, mirroring the real world usage of a potential customer.
One as a media movie lover on the move (wearing headphones), a person wanting to watch high definition media on a train journey or bus with screen brightness two notches from maximum.
Second as a businessman, with screen brightness around half way. Wireless was enabled. A mixture of checking, answering emails using Microsoft Office and editing pictures in Adobe Photoshop.
Lastly as a gamer, playing Tomb Raider until the machine turned itself off.
Battery life was a little disappointing. The internal battery is only rated 4640mAh and the machine uses a fast quad core Intel i7 processor, so in reality it would be a tall order to expect 5hours+.

Damn my MSI GS60 2PE for running at 90*C at full load and the WiFi card being awful!

Gret review, and good laptop, though to be honest, in my opinion a gaming laptop benefits very little from an SSD RAID configuration and the 3k screen. Those two things are adding a lot to the cost of the laptop and giving little value in return versus an alternative configuration with single SSD and FullHD.
Windows 8 is the problem not the wifi card.
