HP Sales struggle to keep momentum

Hewlett Packard have been experiencing a huge drop in sales lately, according to our sources in the Far East.

HP Notebook shipments in May hit 2.6 million which was down dramatically on expectations of around 3.4 million. While the economy is being blamed we can only wonder how Apple managed to sell 2 million iPads in just under two months.

HP shipped around 9 million laptops in the first quarter of 2010 and they need to sell around 3.3-3.4 million more in June to stay on track for the quarter, which seems to be a rather tall order.

KitGuru says: A lot of the manufacturers are struggling to hit their targets, we hope this improves in the latter part of the year.
