Lenovo release touch version of Thinkpad X1 Carbon for Win 8

Lenovo have announced that they are releasing a touch screen version of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. Kitguru reviewed the ‘non touch' version of this laptop back in October, you can read it here.

This release targets the Windows 8 audience who want to enjoy touch screen capabilities. The 14 inch ThinkPad is slightly heavier and bigger than the non touch version, measuring 20.8mm thick and around 3.4 pounds.

The internals are all the same, with a 1600×900 screen resolution and either Core i5 or Core i7 processors. The chassis is made from Carbon Fibre, which explains the name.

Pricing is set at $1,499 in US, slightly more than the previous version without touch screen.

Kitguru says: Set to appeal to the Windows 8 fans!
