Gigabyte A7 X1 gaming laptop packs Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and RTX 3070 GPU

Following the release of the new Aero and Aorus laptops, Gigabyte is now introducing the A7 X1. Unlike the other two laptops, the A7 X1 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU.

The Gigabyte A7 X1 supports up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory in 2x slots and comes with a 2.5-inch drive slot (maximum 7mm) and 2x M.2 2280 slots, allowing it to feature up to 6TB of storage. The keyboard is fully backlit with a single static LED zone featuring 15 colour options to choose from.

The 17.3-inch FullHD IPS screen packed in the laptop's casing has a 144Hz refresh rate and covers 72% of the NTSC colour space, making it a good display for both gaming and working.

Featuring a varied set of connectivity ports, the Gigabyte A7 X1 comes with a variety of USB ports, ranging from 2.0 to 3.2, an HDMI 2.0 port, a mini DP 1.4 port, an audio combo 3.5mm jack, a microphone 3.5mm jack, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. As for wireless connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 + LE and Wi-Fi 6. The laptop also comes with a pair of 2W speakers, a microphone, an HD camera, and support for Nahimic 3D Audio.

Gigabyte also revealed that it's working on the Gigabyte A5 gaming laptop, which should be similar to the A7 in a 15-inch format. Specifications have not been detailed yet, but it's known that it will feature AMD Ryzen 5000H series processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series laptop GPUs.

KitGuru says: The A7 X1 has an understated look but the specifications show it is packing some serious hardware under the hood.
