The MSI GS40 6QE Phantom underlines its supreme gaming abilities for its size in our Star Wars Battlefront tests. Every level is well into the post-30 frames per second territory of playability at 1080p, and actually all above 50 frames per second on average.
Of course, being a multiplayer game there will be network lag to contend with, which can make even the fastest gaming rig stutter. But there will be no issues from the laptop itself.
Since Battlefront uses the Frostbite 3 engine from, you can be reasonably comfortable in assuming that all the popular Battlefield titles up to version 4 will be similarly playable, alongside the forthcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 games.
So if you've got some Christmas/New Year money to spend and are looking for a true portable that will still play all the latest games at decent levels of quality, the MSI GS40 6QE Phantom comes highly recommended. Be sure to check out our full review from mid December 2015 HERE.

With a price just shy of £1,400 inc VAT, this isn’t a particularly cheap notebook, but it’s not extortionate either considering that the specification we had is well balanced and won’t have you wishing for an upgrade for some years to come. Overall, if you’re looking for a true portable with decidedly potent gaming ability, the MSI GS40 6QE Phantom is heartily recommended.
KitGuru says: The MSI GS40 6QE Phantom proves more than a match for Star Wars Battlefront, and will be able to dispatch other Frostbite 3 games as well.
