Toshiba prototype ultrabook with Windows 8

Slashgear have managed to get a hands on with a prototype Toshiba ultrabook which features Windows 8.

The laptop is based on an Intel Core i3 1.3ghz processor which 4GB of memory and a 128GB SSD drive. They claim that Windows 8 runs on integrated graphics within this machine but couldn't figure out which. The interesting part of the report is that they say that Windows 8 runs very well, surprising them. Due to the early status of the build, Windows 8 gestures weren't working which caused some problems but this will obviously be fixed before retail release sometime this year.

This would indicate that Windows 8 will run well with lower end mobile hardware, which is important if Microsoft want to extend their foothold into the low power mobile sector. You can read more over here.
