Everything Everywhere increases data limits for 4G

Everything Everywhere – previously Orange and T-Mobile – has increased its data allowance for all 4G packages by as much as 60 per cent, though it still fails to offer an exploitable unlimited package to consumers.

Existing customers of EE will have their current packages upgraded for free and anyone signing up for the deal won't see any price rises because of it. The available packages have been upgraded by 1GB, 2GB and 3GB to 3GB, 5GB and 8GB respectively.

Despite the horrible name, EE is the first to market with 4G

Some new mobile broadband packages will be launched as well. A one month Sim plan with 5GB of data will be available at £15.99, with 18 and 24 month plans offering 1GB of data for just under £13 a month. While the second lot might seem more expensive, you do get a free 4G dongle or mobile WiFi device included.

“These updates underline our commitment to offering customers the best value and choice from our plans,” said chief marketing officer at EE, Pippa Dunn. “We recognise Superfast 4GEE opens up a range of possibilities for our customers from browsing to gaming to HD movie streaming so it’s right that we increase the breadth of our plans to meet everyone’s needs.  And customers signing up to our £15.99 5GB SIM only plan get great value whether they’re on 4G or 3G, and they will receive their first month free.”

KitGuru Says: How many of you have 4G handsets at this point? If so, are you taking advantage of EE's mobile broadband speeds? Let us know.
