Samsung S6 Lite has been officially announced, pre-orders are available now

The Samsung S6 lite has been unveiled and pre-orders are live. Samsung's new tablet will be available starting April 30 in two variants: “Wi-Fi” and “Wi-Fi + LTE”, alongside a range of different colour options.

Featuring a 10nm octa-core Exynos 9611 CPU (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53), a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, and 4GB of RAM, the Samsung S6 Lite will be available with 64GB and 128GB of internal memory, expandable through a microSDXC slot. It uses Android 10 with the One UI 2.0 ROM, and comes with two cameras: the main 8MP camera which is capable of capturing video at 1080p in 30FPS, while the front/selfie camera is 5MP and is also capable of capturing video at 1080p in 30FPS.

The Samsung S6 Lite is built on an aluminium frame and measures 244.5×154.3x7mm (HxWxD) and weighs 467g. The display is a 10.4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, with 16 million colours and a 1200x2000p resolution (5:3 aspect ratio). This translates into a pixel density of 224ppi and an 81.6% screen-to-body ratio.

 

The S6 Lite's battery is a 7040 mAh cell, and the device supports 15W fast charging. Regarding connectivity, the S6 Lite has 1x 3.5mm jack with audio tuned by AKG, 1x USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi Direct, ANT+, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4G+5GHz, and GPS. It also comes included with an S Pen ideal for editing documents and drawing.

According to GSMArena, Samsung S6 Lite is available for pre-order now in both Oxford grey, Chiffon pink and Angora blue (depending on region), starting at £349/€379 for the Wi-Fi variant and £399/€439 for the LTE variant.
