iPhone 5 silicon cases already in stock

The iPhone 5 phenomenon is already in full flow, with reports circulating daily on the upcoming Apple smartphone. The latest news to hit is that AT&T in the US are already stocking third party iPhone 5 cases, days before Apple are due to release the phone.

MacRumors claim that a reader sent them pictures of the iPhone silicon sleeves. They are a tapered design with the mute switch moved to the other side of the chassis. This is a very similar design to those already made available in China months ago.

MacRumors are hedging their bets by adding “Third-party cases continue to be essentially the only evidence in favor of a redesigned iPhone 5 even as evidence for the iPhone 4S continues to mount in the form of parts leaks, inventory database listings, and other reports from sources.”

Apple are masters of manipulating the press, they sent out invitations to press a short while ago for an October 4th event called ‘Let's talk iPhone'. This was enough to start a raft of discussions, as journalists try to work out what the punters can expect.

Kitguru says: So far it is assumed that the next iPhone will be powered by the A5 processor and will have an 8 MP camera on board.
