Apple announce iPhone 5C and 5S, priced up to £709.00

Well the time has finally come – Apple have announced their new iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s, with availability from September 20th.

The iPhone 5c is the lower cost version, but it starts at a whopping £469 in the United Kingdom, with the higher price iPhone 5s shipping at a starting point of £549. Still no £200 iPhone for budget users, sad to say.

The iPhone 5c comes in a variety of bright bold colours to appease a wider audience, although we aren't sure that the high end Apple purists will be that impressed.

The prices are quite staggering, and those people expecting a low cost iPhone from Apple will be walking away with their head down after hearing this news. Still it could be worse, you could be one of these sad people who have been queuing already for 5 days, they have another 10 days to go before parting with a lot of cash to get their hands on a new iPhone.

Kitguru says: If you have £709 to spare, you can walk away with a lovely new 64gb iPhone 5S. bargain.
