iPad 2 sells out in Russia

It may be later than many countries, but Russia embraced the release of the iPad 2 with open arms. The official release will help stop black market sales in Russia, a good thing considering the insane prices being asked.

Some retailers have claimed that the iPad 2 in Russia are trading for up to $1,500 each on the Black Market depending on the configuration.

Apple fans and technology buyers were out in force for the Apple launch with many stores selling out on launch day.

Iguides.ru have a photo gallery also available of the launch day in Russia.

KitGuru says: As in most countries, the black market has been thriving before official launch. Prices will now drop, always a good thing.
