Considering the modest asking price of the E461 we weren't expecting them to be that great. But as soon as we hooked the earphones up to our HTC Desire smartphone, we were blown away with the sound quality. The most impressive aspect of the sound produced by the E461 is the bass level. With most cheap earphones, the lower registers are noticeably lacking but we're happy to say that the opposite is true with the E461. Our only minor gripe with the sound produced was that it seemed to lose a little clarity at maximum volume.
The performance was just as good when we hooked the E461 up to our Macbook Pro and watched a couple of movies and listened to music. In fact the E461 is a perfect headset to use with a Macbook as the all-in-one connector means you can use the earphones and microphone simultaneously without needing an adapter.
Arctic have only just released the E461 so it isn't actually available to buy anywhere online yet. But Arctic have advised us that the retail price will be around $30 which translates into around £20 at the time of writing. At this price we think they offer outstanding value for money.
We feel the Arctic E461 earphones offer great build quality and unrivaled sound quality for the price. The silver and black colour scheme sets them apart from the usual matte-black and gloss-white designs and the inbuilt microphone and control button make them a perfect partner for a smartphone.
Pros:
- Great value for money
- Good build quality
- Impressive bass
- Attractive Design
- Compatible with almost any device
- Overall good sound quality
Cons
- None!

they always hit great price points, not sure how they do it sometimes, especially with their excellent 12 quid coolers
