Last night at Google I/O was a heavy focus on the Google Glass project and Google+; in addition to the Android content we covered earlier in the day. A bunch of Google engineers with prototype units were got together in a Google+ hangout and base jumped out of a plane onto the roof of Google I/O. From there the danger continues so I'll leave some surprises for the video but the end result is a prototype unit being delivered to Sergey Brin on stage. Google's Sergey Brin also announced what they are calling the Glass Explorer Edition to US based Google I/O attendees. Attendees are able to pre-order their unit which is a pre-consumer unit intended for application development. The starting price? $1500 and developers won't get their Glass units until early next year. However, this will be the first time that those outside of Google will get to play with Google's revolutionary product.
