HTC confirms it is working on a new tablet

HTC hasn't had the best of luck recently with a string of poor financial results and the news that Microsoft isn't interested in a Windows RT tablet because of their relative inexperience with tablets in the past. This list includes just two tablets, the 7 inch Flyer and later on, the Jetstream. Neither of these Android tablets were a massive success.

HTC will make a return to the tablet arena in the future.

Now a company spokesman has said that a new tablet is in development and it will have something very unique about it. As to what this unique feature could be could be multiple things; perhaps an improved stylus experience or a neat integrated stand. Although both of these features are to be utilised in upcoming tablets from Samsung and Microsoft.

The only other confirmed piece of information confirmed is that it will be coming to the UK once launched. My own speculation would mark it down as an Android tablet due to HTC's exclusion from the Windows RT program.

KitGuru says: No matter what comes of this, it is nice to see more high profile players enter the tablet market.
