Google Nexus 7 usage on the rise, sales figures remain unknown

The £159 tablet from ASUS and Google has without doubt been selling well since its retail availability in the last fortnight and while some customers wanting the tablet have left stores empty handed, no official sales figures have been released.

Data collected by advertisement provider Chitika shows an early insight into how well the Nexus 7 is doing and at this early stage it looks very impressive. Data includes number of impressions per 100 Apple iPad impressions, where the Nexus 7 sits at a “mere” 0.3. However you have to remember it only went a sale a couple of weeks ago and it is already outclassing the HP TouchPad and the Sony Tablet S. This number should improve further as supply meets demand in the coming weeks.

KitGuru says: It is fairly clear to me that the Nexus 7 will very likely become the best selling Android tablet in the coming months.

KitGuru Games: The Best Console is the One in Your Pocket

Emulation is the saving grace of the video games industry. Despite its controversial nature, the technology will be the only way in which all games are preserved for the future – free from licensing agreements and other such nonsense. Better still is the fact that in a majority of cases, emulation allows for a more accurate recreation of the game’s original experience than official offerings, due to countless complex shaders, filters and tweakable settings. And the best part? Thanks to the progression of technology, your humble smartphone is able to do all this and more – giving you the power of 10,000 games in the palm of your hand.
