Google introduces Chrome Beta channel for Android

Google has today announced the Chrome Beta channel for Android 4.x devices based on Chrome 25 over the stable channel's Chrome 18. Chrome Beta 25.0.1364.8 brings improved HTML5 support and Javascript support over the current stable channel version. Furthermore, the Beta version will be the first to receive any neat new features. However, as usual with Beta software there are a few bugs that may be of concern to some.

Chrome Beta can be downloaded directly through this Play Store link as it is not searchable in the Play Store. Best of all, should you encounter any experience breaking bugs the Beta channel installs alongside the stable version.

KitGuru says: Chrome for Android tends to get a bit of stick for being slow but this new Beta channel should relieve that to an extent.

KitGuru Games: The Best Console is the One in Your Pocket

Emulation is the saving grace of the video games industry. Despite its controversial nature, the technology will be the only way in which all games are preserved for the future – free from licensing agreements and other such nonsense. Better still is the fact that in a majority of cases, emulation allows for a more accurate recreation of the game’s original experience than official offerings, due to countless complex shaders, filters and tweakable settings. And the best part? Thanks to the progression of technology, your humble smartphone is able to do all this and more – giving you the power of 10,000 games in the palm of your hand.
