MacBook Pros and iMacs to get updated, soon.

Rumors have been circulating in Taipei for the last couple of days that Apple are going to update their MacBook Pro and iMac machines in the first half of 2011, with even one source saying Q1. Digitimes have also confirmed similar findings, although KitGuru spoke to one source last night who says that the refresh systems are going to be ‘awesome'.

Apple are planning to bring out at least four new Macbook Pros with improved specifications and possibly new technology in the highest end model. A low priced iMac with a new Apple panel design is also rumoured to be released at the same time.

Foxconn workers, one of Apple's main partners

iOS Lion is to be in all the new system configurations and a new chassis design is also said to be in progress, an update to the unibody aluminum design currently on the market.

Foxconn staff are normally bombarded with journalist phone calls before launch for ‘leaks' but they have been firmly tight mouthed about this new range of systems scheduled for 2011. Plenty of time yet, however.

KitGuru says: Watch this space for the latest developments, as they happen.
