Macbook Air set to claim 40% of slim notebook market

I had a chat with several industry insiders associated with the notebook market in Taipei a couple of hours ago and they are suggesting that Apple could claim up to 40% of the global ‘super slim notebook' market this year.

Ultrabooks in general are selling more units in recent months and the Apple Macbook Air is making up a large percentage of overall sales

Macbook machines sold more than 1.5 million units in September and Q4 is predicted to be a strong growth period for Apple mobile machines.

Quanta Computer and Foxconn Electronics handle the assembly and production of the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro computers, pumping out the 1.5 million units every month.

Kitguru says: Industry sources claim that Apple could sell 1.5-1.6 million units in October and potentially even more in December.
