Apple to launch new 15 inch & 17 inch Macbook Pro?

If you have wanted a new MacBook Pro in either the 15 inch or 17 inch category, they have been fairly hard to get. KitGuru heard last night from sources in Taipei that Apple are aiming to launch new 15 inch and 17 inch models with updated specifications in the not too distant future.

Outside Apple stores, these two machines have been difficult to get hold of in recent months which has indicated a drop in production rate as Apple prepare for the new range to launch. With the success of the new Macbook Air, Apple will be keen to upgrade the higher end range to target business professionals. We have not yet heard of what is being upgraded, but we can expect the new models over the coming months.

Obviously with some stocks still in supply Apple can quote quick turnarounds on their current models, but we have heard from good sources that they are clearing stock, while developing the new models for release in 2011.

Apple Macbook Pros are some of the finest laptops on the market and it will be interesting to see just what Apple change when the new range is released.

KitGuru says: Mac heads will be waiting with sweaty palms.
