iPhone 5 cases hit china before launch

As usual, it appears the Chinese have started selling cases for the upcoming iPhone 5, long before the phone itself is actually available.

AppleInsider have written a report which indicates that the iPhone 5 cases are available everywhere in China. Chinese trade site Alibaba.com are selling the silicon cases for 2CNY each, with a minimum order of 500 pieces.

The new case design shows that the edges are curved and that the vibrate switch has switched sides, when compared with the current iPhone version.

Strangely, the new design shows that the flash component is still in the same place, even though earlier reports from publications said that Apple would be moving the camera flash away from the rear mounted camera.

The minor changes would help verify some reports earlier this year which said that this upcoming phone would only be a minor revision and that Apple would be calling it the iPhone 4GS.

Kitguru says: All of this information is yet to be confirmed by Apple, but Chinese case manufacturers have often leaked structural layouts of upcoming products.
