Apple fix Macbook Air Display issues

KitGuru recently reported on the issues experienced by many new Macbook Air users. These involved screen flickering horizontal lines which would appear on the 13 inch model.

Other people reported that displays were even discoloured when waking from sleep and Apples forums were rife with unhappy customers. Well thankfully Apple have taken the issues seriously and have released an update which should solve most of these problems. The update is for both 11 inch and 13 inch machines and resolves a “rare issue where MacBook Air boots or wakes to a black screen or becomes unresponsive.”

Kitguru says: If you have been experiencing these issues let us know if the fix resolves the problems.

I have a MB13.3/2.4/CT mac book air that I purchased on 12/01/2011. The serial number is w884839w1b5. A lot of times especially when I wake up the computer, there are hundreds of horizontal lines across the display, and the display dims a little. The screen will from time to time be perfect, and then all of the lines will re-appear. Do you know what part I need to purchase from you to repair this? Thanks.
