Apple brings 90-day trials to Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X

Earlier this week, we wrote about Unity Technologies making its premium tutorials free to access for a few months while many people are homebound due to the coronavirus outbreak. Now, Apple is taking a similar approach, with 90-day free trials coming to Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X.

Of course, these are very different tools to Unity, but if you've ever been interested in recording, mixing and creating music, then Logic Pro X is a good place to start. Those who would like to get acquainted with video editing should try out Final Cut Pro. Of course, these free trials can also be used by professionals who use this software at their place of work, but are currently unable to go to the office, which could be very helpful.

You do have to redeem the free trial, so you'll have 90 days of use after whatever date you sign up. Apple has not announced a date for ending the 90-day trial and of course, you do need macOS to use these two pieces of software.

Typically, Final Cut Pro X would cost you $299.99 while Logic Pro X would cost you $199.99.

KitGuru Says: If you're stuck at home and feel like trying out something new, then these new free trials seem worth exploring. Now there are options available for music, video and games. Perhaps we'll also see Adobe extend its own free trial period for its apps too.
