Apple set to streamline store layouts

Inside sources have said that Apple stores will be eliminating some stock soon to make way for more, improved customer support.

The sources told KitGuru that Apple Stores may be losing some of the game titles and even some peripherals from the layout soon, their plan is to make the stores less cluttered so the staff can showcase the machines and even help customers set them up.

The front end displays could see printers, scanners and even hard drives being dithced and peripherals will be places out of site with employees being informed that they should mention the additional items before the close of sale. Apple games are also set to get the axe, with 24 titles being removed from shelves … down to 8 per store.

The physical space which is saved will be used for personalised setup and support services, with Apple taking on new trained staff to handle the job. According to further reports, these changes are due to happen quickly, within the space of a couple of months.

  1. I think its a good idea. people who buy apple like the personalised support. you go into an apple store, everyone is talking. chatting etc. its like a grouping of art critics.
