Arc System Works reveals Kill la Kill game, due out in 2019

Arc System Works had a hit on its hands earlier this year with the launch of Dragonball FighterZ, and soon, the studio will be turning its attention to another action-heavy anime- Kill la Kill, another anime that has caught on and become popular here in the west.

The game was revealed by Arc System Works via a dedicated website for the new entry into the Kill la Kill universe. The game is currently simply dubbed “Kill la Kill The Game”, but we do have a teaser trailer and some screenshots, which you can see below:

The screenshots don’t show much but confirm that there will be some fighting involved (unsurprisingly). Arc System Works has also revealed that the game will be in the “Battle Action” genre, which may mean its in the vein of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, rather than a 2.5D fighting game like Dragonball FighterZ.

The game is set for release some time next year. We currently don't have a list of expected platforms, but we can likely expect to see it on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. With Dragonball FighterZ now coming to the Switch, perhaps this new game will also land on Nintendo's latest system.

KitGuru Says: For Kill la Kill fans, I am sure this is a dream come true. If they get the combat right, it could easily sit alongside other seminal action games such as Devil May Cry. Are you looking forward to the game?
