Windows 7 SP1 Public beta available

KitGuru reported a few weeks ago that a public beta of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) was coming soon. Microsoft have delivered on time and you can now get the public beta for yourself.

“As Gavriella Schuster and I have mentioned in previous blogs, SP1 for Windows 7 does not contain any new features specific to Windows 7,” said Microsoft Executive Brandon LeBlanc on Blogging Windows. “For Windows 7, SP1 is simply a combination of updates already available through Windows Update and additional hotfixes based on feedback by our customers and partners.”

KitGuru says: While there are apparently no new features for SP1, the rumors on the grapevine indicate that there is improved support for USB 3.0 as well as enhanced BlueTooth and Wi-Fi Functionality.
