Microsoft appears to be teasing Windows 11

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced plans to reveal “the next generation of Windows” during an event on the 24th. While most expected this to be another Windows 10 overhaul, a Microsoft teaser may have just revealed that we'll be getting a full Windows 11 instead.

For the last six years, Microsoft has continuously updated Windows 10, adding new features and upgrades along the way. Microsoft previously said that Windows 10 would be the last major version of the OS, but those plans may have changed.

The video above was recently posted to YouTube by Microsoft. The run-time comes in at exactly 11-minutes long and features a remix of Windows start-up sounds from past generations. As spotted by The Verge, Microsoft may be hinting at Windows 11 even further by scheduling its event to begin at 11AM ET.

This next-generation version of Windows is expected to include a major UI overhaul, as well as reworked versions of major apps, including the Store, Settings menu and more. Microsoft's Windows announcement event is taking place on the 24th of June at 4PM BST.

KitGuru Says: It looks like Windows 11 could be on the way after all. Do you think its time for a completely new version of Windows, or are you happy sticking with Windows 10 for the time being?
