Former Xbox-exclusive Grounded available now on PlayStation and Switch

Microsoft surprised many when they announced earlier this year that 4 Xbox titles would be leaving the exclusive walls of the Xbox ecosystem for other pastures – including the PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Following the release of Hi-Fi RUSH and Pentiment, Obsidian Entertainment’s ‘Grounded’ is available now.

Available now to purchase on PS4/5 and Nintendo Switch, Grounded Fully Yoked Edition represents the survival game at its most complete – with no major future updates planned.

That said, update 1.4 (the Yoked Update) brings a whole lot to the game, including but not limited to:

  • New NPCs – Ant queen
  • 12 new Ant Queen-inspired buildings
  • New Game Plus mode
  • Hosts can now switch saves
  • ‘Recover Pets’ feature
  • 20 new items and equipment
  • Quality of life improvements

The full list of changes and additions can be found via the patch notes HERE. It is interesting to see Grounded launching on PlayStation and Switch as the game reaches the end of its post-launch support – a surprise contrast to Sea of Thieves’ upcoming PS5 release.

Still, for all fans of Grounded, now is the best time to get stuck in.
