The Last of Us Part III reportedly in development at Naughty Dog

With the release of The Last of Us Part II in 2020, fans of Naughty Dog’s games have been eagerly awaiting the studio’s next original project. According to an industry insider, at least one of the titles currently in development at Naughty Dog is none other than a 3rd entry in the prestigious The Last of Us series.

As reported by trusted industry insider ViewerAnon, The Last of Us Part III is currently in development at Naughty Dog, saying “Dr. Uckmann's [Neil Druckmann’s] next game is THE LAST OF US PART III which is currently in production at Naughty Dog.”

Following this claim, one fan asked about the studio’s other projects currently in the works, saying “What about Uncharted? A new IP? Their online multiplayer project?” to which ViewerAnon responded: “UNCHARTED will be handled by another studio, FACTIONS is coming first, not sure on the new IP.”

The Last of Us Part II was wrapped up quite nicely, however it certainly allowed enough room for a sequel to be made possible. With the Factions game planned for release beforehand, it will be interesting to see what plans Druckmann has for this 3rd (and final?) entry in the much-loved The Last of Us series.
