Steam Deck surpasses 7000 Verified/Playable titles

After a slow start due to supply issues and high demand, the Steam Deck has been hitting its stride on all fronts. 10 months after the first batch of Steam Decks were released to the wild, Valve’s popular portable handheld system now supports more than 7000 titles.

As reported by Tech4Gamers, 10 months after the initial release of the first wave of portable Steam Deck handhelds, more than 7000 titles (7124 to be exact) are now either Steam Deck Verified or Playable,

It is worth noting that as a platform Steam hosts over 100,000 titles, and so there is still a long way to go to ensure complete compatibility. That being said, of the titles tested, only 2469 are currently officially unsupported, meaning there is a high chance that far greater than 7000 games are currently working – it just isn’t in writing yet.

Furthermore, taking the 7000 figure as a minimum, the Steam Deck just 10 months after its launch officially supports more than twice as many games as the entire library of the PlayStation 4. Quality is of course more important than quantity, but luckily the Steam Deck offers both.

With the Steam Deck hitting 5000 titles back in late August, it will be interesting to see how long it’ll take for the handheld to hit 10,000 games.
