Shovel Knight celebrates 10th birthday with new enhanced edition

Somehow, it’s been a whole decade since the initial release of Shovel Knight – the retro-styled 2D platformer which put developer Yacht Club Games on the map. In celebration of the game’s 10th birthday, the team has announced an expanded / enhanced edition known as ‘Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX.’

Announced during the their ‘Yacht Club Games Presents’ showcase, the team officially revealed Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX:

“An enhanced edition of the pixel-perfect adventure that started it all. Jump, battle foes, and seek treasures as you quest to defeat the Order of No Quarter and their vile leader, The Enchantress.”

Featuring “20 distinctive playable characters, seamless online multiplayer, and innovative additions like rewind and save states” alongside “over 300 classic gameplay-twisting cheats” Yacht Club Games have taken what was already a jam-packed game and shovelled even more content in for those who haven’t had enough.

With Mina the Hollower still deep in development, Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX will give you another reason to play this indie classic.

That being the casting of Kaitlyn Dever as Abby.
