Rocksmith+ is launching in September

Rocksmith+ is a subscription service which promises to teach you how to play guitar (acoustic, electric, and bass) across thousands of songs. Announced back in June 2021, the learning tool / game is set to finally arrive in early September.

Making the announcement on their blog, Ubisoft’s Chastity Vicencio revealed that Rocksmith+ will finally be releasing on the 6th of September 2022, saying “Grab your electric, acoustic, or bass guitar and get ready to improve your skills by playing along with your favorite songs in Rocksmith+, coming to PC exclusively through the Ubisoft Store on September 6.”

Described as having “the largest catalog of official songs ever offered in a music learning service,” Rocksmith+ will include more than 5000 songs for you to learn and play, with “millions more to come through partnerships with famed labels such as Sony and Universal.”

Rocksmith+ was first announced back in June 2021, and was initially planned for release that year, before being pushed back to 2022. While we now know when the PC version is set to release, no news has been provided regarding the game’s launch on consoles – though we do know the mobile version is set to arrive later this year.

A one-month subscription to Rocksmith+ will cost you £12.99, with three-months setting you back £34.99 and a year’s subscription for £84.99. Music licensing is not cheap, and so while the service may seem somewhat steep in price, hopefully the tools and songs provided are worth it.
