Rainbow Six: Siege is getting a NieR Replicant bundle

Rainbow Six Siege continues to be one of Ubisoft’s biggest titles currently, with the now nearly 7-year-old game continuing to see new content released. Over the years, Siege has not shied away from collaborating with seemingly random franchises – with the latest seeing Square Enix’s NieR series now represented in the game.

Making the unexpected announcement, Ubisoft said “NieR and Grimoire Weiss are coming to Rainbow 6 Siege with the Maverick Replicant Bundle! But that’s not all. More NieR goodness to be continued during the Year 7 Season 4 reveal panel.”

For the uninitiated, the Year 7 Season 4 reveal will be taking place on the 21st of November – the same day as the release of the Maverick Bundle.

As mentioned, papa NieR will not be the only character coming into the game, as the end of the trailer teased an appearance from none other than 2B herself – by far the most popular character from the franchise.

This may not be the weirdest collaboration for Rainbow Six: Siege, with Pickle Rick from the Adult Swim show Rick and Morty previously being added into the game, but it is interesting nonetheless. That being said, after continuously releasing content for a game over the course of 7 years, it makes sense that some of the added bundles would be somewhat odd. For those who are both fans of Rainbow Six and NieR however, this collaboration may be exactly what they were hoping for.
