PowerWash Simulator x SpongeBob SquarePants crossover DLC announced

Ever since its launch last Summer, PowerWash Simulator has been able to keep fans captivated not only through its satisfying gameplay loop, but also thanks to a number of free updates which included a whole host of exciting crossover content. Now, the team at FuturLab have officially announced the latest of these collaborations: a crossover with SpongeBob SquarePants – though it will cost money.

Making the announcement via a press release, the FuturLab team said “The sea-cret is out! FuturLab and Square Enix Collective are krill-ed to announce the SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator is releasing this Summer. Retailing at £6.49, the underwater expansion will be available on Steam, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.”

With this being the first paid crossover, the team seem to have gone and dedicated themselves to the SpongeBob aesthetic, saying “The SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack is a love letter to the source material, created in the distinct style of the original cartoon in collaboration with the team at Nickelodeon. Exclusively for this Special Pack, we’ve given the PowerWash character model a marine makeover. You’ll fit right in with the crowd as a true Bottomite, with a custom-designed power washer that could rival even Sandy Cheeks’ best inventions.”

PowerWash Simulator has not disappointed so far. That said, all of the previously-released DLC was free and so expectations are now heightened for this upcoming paid release.
