Palworld blew up over the past few days, with the Pokemon-inspired open world monster collecting game shooting to second place in the Steam concurrents and selling over 6 million copies in just 4 days. With so much interest in the game, the team at Pocketpair have shared their roadmap for Palworld – starting with critical fixes.
Making the announcement via Twitter, the official Palworld account shared their current roadmap for the game, saying “We would like to share with you our roadmap for Palworld.
Sales have far exceeded the development team's expectations, and we are currently experiencing many problems due to excessive access congestion, among other challenges.
We will prioritize improving this issue first, and then move on to implementing new in-game features. Thank you for your understanding.”
As mentioned, the top priority for the team is to get the game in a more stable state, with bug fixes, loading issues and more planned to be resolved. Following the fixing of these critical issues, Palworld will see “Improvements to base Pal AI and pathing” as well as “Key configuration improvements.”
Perhaps the most exciting part of the roadmap pertains to the game’s “planned future updates” which includes a whole host of new features such as: PVP; Raid Bosses; PVP for Pals; crossplay; improved building and a bunch of new islands, Pals, bosses and more.
No specific timeline has been given for the roadmap, but it is exciting nonetheless to see all of the team’s future plans for Palworld. Hopefully these features all come in a quick enough fashion.
