No Man’s Sky Echoes update announced

Just days after Hello Games celebrated the 7th anniversary of No Man’s Sky, the team have once again released another massive free update to any and all who own the game. Dubbed the ‘Echoes’ update, this latest patch brings robotic aliens; PSVR 2 improvements; FSR 2 on Switch; a trench run and so much more.

Detailing this update, the team at Hello Games said “Meet a secret society of robotic aliens in update 4.4, ECHOES! Furthering the narrative introduced in INTERCEPTOR, explore the mysteries of the Autophage, perform their rituals, learn their language, and assemble your own ceremonial staff. In deep space, confront huge outlaw dreadnoughts, sweep through their trenches and destroy vulnerable components in new tactical space combat – and much more!”

The full and lengthy details surrounding the update can be found HERE, but just some of the new additions include:

  • Epic Freighter Battles
  • Customisable Staff
  • Robotic Race
  • Atlas MultiTool
  • Holo Displays
  • New Story
  • Weapon Trading
  • Voyagers Exp
  • Space Combat Depth
  • Torpedo Frigates
  • Ship Trenches
  • Twitch Campaign
  • Pirate Faction
  • PSVR2 & Switch Visuals

It is truly inspiring to see the team at Hello Games continue to add so many new features to No Man’s Sky, all the while improving upon pre-existing mechanics and functions.

No Man’s Sky is easily the best game in history when it comes to post-launch support. Hopefully other studios take note and inspiration from Hello Games.
