New box art has been revealed for a number of PS5 titles

While physical media is becoming much less prevalent, looking at new video game box art is always a fun exercise – especially for next-gen titles. Amazon has now updated a number of PlayStation 5 game listings with new box art, giving fans another look at these titles, while also possibly hinting at the games’ release schedule.

The games which have received new box art are:

  • Demon’s Souls
  • Destruction AllStars
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Returnal
  • Sackboy A Big Adventure

As can be seen from the images above, some of the artwork is not final. Still it begs the question as to why these specific games were given new box art. Currently, none of these titles have been given a release date, nor a release year. With recent rumours suggesting that Demon’s Souls may be launching with the PS5 (or close enough to it), the addition of these box arts could mean that the remainder of these titles may also see releases relatively soon.

Housemarque, who is working on Returnal, released the shoot ‘em up game ‘Resogun’ alongside the launch of the PlayStation 4. It is entirely possible that the same is happening again with the PS5. Of course, we’ll just have to wait and see when PlayStation themselves announce the release date for all these titles. Until then, at least we have new artwork to look at.

KitGuru says: what do you think of the box art? Which of these titles are you most excited for? What was your favourite PS4 launch title? Let us know down below.
