January’s PS Plus Extra and Premium line-ups announced

Each month, those with a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription are gifted a dozen or so free games to play for as long as their subscription remains intact (or until the game is removed from the service). Sony has now announced January’s free PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium titles – starting off the year well.

Making the announcement on the PlayStation Blog, the list of PlayStation Plus Extra titles is as follows:

  • Back 4 Blood | PS4, PS5
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ | PS4
  • Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition | PS5
  • Devil May Cry 5 | PS4
  • Life is Strange: Before the Storm | PS4
  • Life is Strange | PS4
  • Jett: The Far Shore | PS4, PS5
  • Just Cause 4: Reloaded | PS4
  • Just Cause 4 | PS4
  • Omno | PS4
  • Erica | PS4

Though a much smaller list, Sony also updated its PS Plus Premium library with a few additional titles, namely:

  • Syphon Filter 3 | PS1
  • Star Wars Demolition | PS1
  • Hot Shots Golf 2 | PS1

Interestingly, the rhythm game Sayonara Wild Hearts was originally announced to be part of January’s line-up, though Sony has since claimed that this was a mistake. Even without the rhythm-based playable album, January represents a great month for the service (at least with regards to PS Plus Extra specifically). All of these titles will be made available on the 17th of January.
