Hollow Knight: Silksong gets official PlayStation/Xbox store pages

Since its official announcement in early 2019, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong. Though very few details have been shared since, it seems as though there is some activity going on behind the scenes – with both the Xbox and PlayStation stores now listing Silksong in their databases.

In going to the Xbox or PlayStation Stores, you can now find a listing for Hollow Knight: Silksong. As of right now, there is essentially no new information on these pages – but the game now being officially listed and wishlist-able marks a major step in Silksong’s development.

For the uninitiated, Hollow Knight: Silksong was originally intended to be DLC for the first game. As development progressed and its scope was widened, Team Cherry confirmed that Silksong would instead be its own standalone sequel.

At one point Microsoft suggested that the game was due out sometime in the first half of 2023. Of course, this did not end up happening, with the team at the time saying:

“Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong. We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can. Expect more details from us once we get closer to release.”

These details have yet to come – but with this latest update to the store pages, it could be sooner rather than later.
