Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be free on PlayStation Plus

While we await the eventual announcement of Sony’s revived PlayStation Plus subscription, the service continues to operate as normal: offering a number of games each month for free. While some of March’s free games were leaked early, the most exciting titles were left secret for Sony’s official announcement.

Yesterday we reported that Ark Survival Evolved and Team Sonic Racing would be two of March’s free PS Plus titles. Sony has now officially announced next month’s line-up and while it does include those two titles, the free PS5 game was also announced – alongside a bonus 4th game for both PS4 and PS5 users.

Available to add to your library for free from the 1st of March (assuming you have PS Plus) will be:

  • Ark: Survival Evolved (PS4)
  • Team Sonic Racing (PS4)
  • Ghostrunner (PS5)
  • Ghost of Tsushima: Legends (PS4|5)

Typically Sony offers 3 free games each month: two PS4 titles and a PS5 game. On occasion the console manufacturer would throw in a VR game here and there. Adding an extra PS4 and PS5 game to the line-up in the form of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is certainly an exciting bonus title and will serve to only bolster the game’s online player base.

It is also worth noting while only the PS5 version of Ghostrunner is Available, PS4 players can redeem the game through the browser version of the PlayStation Store or the PS App – meaning it will be waiting for you in your library when/if you get a PS5.

March’s line-up is one of the strongest in months, with 4 free games – all of which are well-liked while still offering a diversity of genres and gameplay styles. If this is a tease at what is to come with the company’s planned ‘Project Spartacus’ then it is an exciting time to be subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
