In the past we have seen SEGA and ATLUS in particular release its games in a staggered manner, with the likes of the Persona series previously arriving first on PlayStation – and Nintendo having a similar deal for the SMT games. That said, recently this structure has changed, with more games coming to more platforms more quickly. According to one insider “Every Atlus and Sega remake is also releasing on Switch 2.”
In a Twitter thread discussing leaked/rumoured details surrounding the upcoming Jet Set Radio remake/reboot, known SEGA/ATLUS leaker Midori claimed that “Every Atlus and Sega remake is also releasing on Switch 2” – meaning all the leaked Persona remakes as well as those SEGA titles which have been officially announced (such as the aforementioned Jet Set Radio).
Interestingly, when asked about whether SEGA will bring any of these titles to the OG Switch, Midori stated “Sega will continue to release some remake titles on the Switch if it is possible. But this may change depending on the sales of the next Nintendo hardware.”
The Nintendo Switch is in an awkward position right now, with many fans expecting an announcement for its successor any day now. Regardless of when it does eventually release, it appears as though the system will be getting SEGA’s full support.
