FPS mode, Fall Guys and more coming to Fortnite

Back in 2022, we reported on a leak which seemed to suggest that Epic Games was working on a first-person mode for their ever-popular Fortnite Battle Royale. Finally the team have revealed that they will indeed be releasing a first-person perspective option later this year – but only in creative mode.

Making the announcement during GDC, Epic Games revealed a boatload of plans for Fortnite over the coming year. As collated by Fortnite leaker HYPEX, one of the biggest announcements is that the long-rumoured first-person mode is real and arriving some time later this year.

Unfortunately for some, this mode is being limited to the Creative portion of the game, so no first person Battle Royale matches…yet.

The other major news includes the addition of Fall Guys assets into Fortnite, allowing players to create their own Fall Guys maps and modes. Additionally, Epic is seemingly so confident in its UEFN tools that they revealed plans to use the application for all future Battle Royale content starting in 2025.

Epic Games have been making pretty major moves with Fortnite over the past months. It’ll be interesting to see just how extensive their plans are for the platform in the long-term.

KitGuru says: What do you think of these announcements? How well do you think the FPS mode will handle? Would you like to see it brought into the BR mode? Let us know down below.
